What is your pet policy?
To ensure a safe, clean, and allergy-free environment for all guests, I maintain a strict no-pet policy. I do have several indoor/outdoor cats on the property. However, they are not allowed inside the apartments. Thank you for your understanding!
Can we walk around the reservoir
Yes, you can enjoy walking around the reservoir! There is a paved road that runs approximately 3/4 of the way around, providing a scenic route for your stroll. The remaining portion of the walk takes you through wooded areas, offering a more natural experience. Please be sure to wear appropriate footwear for the weather and stay on marked paths for safety.
Can I swim in Plymouth Reservoir?
Yes, many people do swim in the reservoir. However, please keep in mind that it is a man-made body of water. It is shallow in depth, the bottom can be muddy, and there is aquatic growth. While some find it refreshing, I personally choose not to swim in it. If you decide to swim, please do so at your own discretion and be aware of the conditions.
Do you have a firepit, and do you provide supplies?
Yes! For your convenience, I have a small metal firepit located waterside. I provide all the fire pit supplies, including firewood and fire starters. I do ask that guests be mindful of their usage so that other guests may also enjoy the lovely ambiance. Please avoid creating large fires that are left unattended or that pose a safety risk. By using the firepit, you acknowledge that you are responsible for ensuring safety and adhering to all guidelines. I encourage you to exercise caution and enjoy responsibly!
Can I bring my own firewood?
For the safety of our guests and the protection of the local ecosystem, I kindly ask that guests do not bring their own firewood to the property. I provide high-quality, seasoned firewood that is safe for burning in the fire pit. This ensures that we are using acceptable wood types while minimizing smoke and fire hazards. Additionally, using provided firewood helps prevent the introduction of pests and diseases that could harm the local environment. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in keeping our space safe and enjoyable for everyone!
Do you provide life vests for using the kayaks?
Yes. I provide life vests in multiple sizes for our guests. However, it is important that each guest ensures their life vest fits properly and is used safely. Please note that if the provided vests do not meet your needs, you are responsible for bringing your own. By using the kayaks, you acknowledge that you assume liability for your safety. Thank you for prioritizing safety while enjoying your time on the water!
I have family or friends that live locally. Can they come to spend time with me here?
It’s lovely when guests want to share Robyn’s Nest with others. In order to ensure peaceful accommodations and an enjoyable experience for all guests, a maximum of two additional day guests per reservation are allowed. Advance host approval is required for any additional guests beyond the two allowed. No parties or large groups are allowed. Final decisions will be based on current occupancy, and the host’s decision is final.
Where can my visitor park when they arrive?
Once on-site, guests can see that parking is limited around the property. I ask that paid guests reach out to me prior to your additional guest’s arrival, allowing me to assist with parking instructions. Exact parking instructions will vary depending upon current occupancy and other multiple factors. Ensuring both paid guests and visiting guests have a safe, secure parking location is paramount.
